The UESP's Guide to Morrowind -

in celebration of Morrowind's 20th Anniversary

This project is one of my favourites to date. I had the pleasure of creating the cover and map for the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages' (UESP) Guide to Morrowind.

This was a project born out of love for the Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, and the people behind it at Bethesda Studios and beyond. To celebrate Morrowind's 20th Anniversary, UESP aimed to bring together talent from fans of the Elder Scrolls games and create something which would appeal to the old and bring in the new.

My own experience with Morrowind was enlightening: while I played it long after its release, it was clear to me how it had fundamentally influenced every Elder Scrolls game following it, and it was a breath of fresh air in many ways. As opposed to the Medieval Europe-inspired fantasies that are the norm of the genre, Morrowind went in a completely different direction, pulling from the architecture of Ancient Egypt and the inspired weirdness of The Dark Crystal

It was an absolute privilege to work on something like this: I hadn't worked on a proper map or book cover prior to this, and yet I was given a chance, and thus have had a hand in the creation of something rather special.

While I am not an actual employee of UESP, I feel that I ought to say that the quality of the work they do is exceptional, and the services they provide are completely free. If, however, you would like to get your hands on this book, or similar merchandise, then you can get in touch via their Twitter or Patreon.

I may well be working on more things for them as you read this!

UESP Playing Cards and Coins -

in celebration of UESP's 30th Anniversary

This project was a commission for the UESP in celebration of their 30th anniversary. The whole playing card set was created in collaboration with two other artists, my own personal contribution being the assembly of the cover and the six cards displayed here. The cards depict a number of the Daedric Princes, godlike beings that rule aspects of mortal life such as dreams, lies, battle and hunting.

The coin was a design reminiscent of the UESP's original logo, and the six installments of the Elder Scrolls series: Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, and the sixth, upcoming game. 'Let Lore Be Your Armour' is the official slogan of the UESP, written in between the three mascot animals of the factions from The Elder Scrolls Online, thus uniting all the games in one artifact.

The whole project was a delight to work on: UESP had some fantastic ideas, but they were also very willing to go back and forth on ideas with me, resulting in a product which we are both proud of. Collaborating with other artists on the cards allowed me to create a design which is striking and cool, taking notes from them whenever was needed to improve. The other artists are linked here:
