Moving up and on from the basic blockout props, I've made (if not all, then most) of the indoor furniture props!
As you may be able to see there's a few changes in these props than the original blockout: the bed frame has a smaller support and the desk has a leg that wraps all around it, to name two of the biggest changes. When I was constructing these assets I paid much closer attention to the references I had, and I'm much happier with the results: the models actually look different in terms of hardness, and the chairs are finally able to be sat upon! (Before this, the two chairs around the chess table were slanted at an angle that would make them very annoying to sit upon, but now I've paid attention to their specific shape they actually look usable!)
Some more close up screenshots to show the detail off a little more clearly:
Personally I'm particularly happy with the bed/mattress, because it's easy to see where frame ends and mattress begins, and it's easy to see that one is hard and solid, while the other is softer and is likely inflated with air. While in the film we don't get any really clear full view of the bed, we see it in the background of a scene where Magneto is being drugged by William Stryker, and luckily it contained a view of the 'pillow' as well.
Here is the reference from the film, in it's entirety:
I mean, frankly, the resemblance is uncanny.
Next stop is going to be adding detail to the rest of the building, especially the doorway (which i technically still need to build a door for) and then I think it'll be UVing time! See you then!
