29/02/2020: I took advantage of the Game Jam that was taking place down at the Games Academy over the weekend to sneak in some more work on my modular building. Since I had already built the sections for the windows and wall, it was fairly simple to duplicate and transform them. Altering the parts that needed to look different didn't take too much effort: all I had to bear in mind was that the faces of the walls needed to look like they were flat. Most of my modifications were made by creating edge loops; therefore, I had to remember to create enough to preserve the flatness but to also allow for extruding and reshaping.
At the end of the day, my modular build looks like this.
We're nearly there! I just have a bit more altering to do on the last floor walls, and then I'll be free to create a whole load of smaller assets. I still have the sign to build, and I want to add things like copper pipes and cogs to bring in the steampunk style. For now, I am happy!
